Try using the flop shot more, a good 64 wedge and a good ball will help. Also from further distance beyond a flop shot, try a punch again with a 60-64 degree wedge. I find this works well especially if there is a lot of wind.

Adjust your distances based on severity of rough. Add extra distance if rough is 30-40% or more.
