We all like to play match play, as its a great competitive form of the game. I noticed the other day though somethings that I have found may be an edge in winning more match play rounds.
1. Like always play like its practice - its a simple old adage but if you play like it doesn't mean anything you tend to relax more. 2. Play well with in yourself - don't go for grand shots, play safe and conservative. hitting every fairway and every green is off putting for some opponents. 3. play fast - I know for some that is very hard, but it keeps the pressure on your opponent if they have to play consecutive shots, or feel like that have to play more shots than you, more often than not, they will play more shots than you. 4. Don't concede anything outside 2'- you have no idea how many 3' putts I miss, so don't be generous, make them play that last shot. 5. Only if you are comfortable with it - Sledge your opponent, if you can do it with out being overtly nasty, or down right rude, it can help. I had an opponent putting himself down after I said a few little things. Needless to say I won the math easily and met a really good guy out of the match.
Anything else you want to add feel free to post in this thread

After making a long putt or an important putt in match play, I usually write BINGO in the dialogue box after the putt drops in.
My opponent usually doesn't like the slight bit of trash talk (although acceptable language) and it throws them off their game.
Works 100% of the time
